Zach Snyder | Social Media Manager

Patrice Fernandes, Hannah Pilkey | American Chestnut Research and Restoration Project

Shout out to Zach Snyder for his awesome work managing strategy and content for ESF across all our social media channels!

Zach's most recent success was just yesterday for a video he conceived, produced, and edited for TikTok in collaboration with the American Chestnut Research + Restoration Project team.

And a shout-out to the American Chestnut team for helping us tell their story in a fun way! Patrice Fernandes was on camera and narrated while Hannah Pilkey engaged with commenters, answering questions and sharing in their excitement.

In just 24 hours, the video resulted in:

  • 609 comments (nearly all of them are positive or neutral)
  • "Favorited" 899 times
  • Grew ESF's TikTok following eight-fold!

You can check out the clip here.

It's impossible to predict what will trend on social media, and this is incredible reach and visibility for ESF! We use TikTok as a way to show snippets of research, student life, campus culture, and more at ESF.

Thank you, Zach and American Chestnut team!
