No SBS on December 23 or 30

Please remember that there will be no Sunday school this Sunday, December 23, or next Sunday, December 30, for any age group.

Sunday Bible School Study

Sunday, January 6
Pastor Brian Peterson will be away this day, so guest speaker Dwayne Cogdill will continue our study of "Hebrews: The Supremacy & Sufficiency of Jesus Christ."

God is not silent, but has spoken to us in His Son, and now He speaks to us in His Word. In the book of Hebrews, that's how Jesus is presented: the final and glorious Word of God, the Logos. In Him, God has shown Himself to be faithful and entirely sufficient for our life, salvation and godliness. Jesus is the long-promised Messiah and has fulfilled all that God has said. Join us as we discover His supremacy and sufficiency.

All SBS studies are listed on the SBS webpage

Ask the Pastor

Friday, January 11 | 7-9 PM
Men and women of Student Families: Please join us for a fun night of fellowship at the Peterson home on the evening of January 11. Come prepared to enjoy each others' company and have your questions ready on an index card or paper. We will put all questions in a basket and Pastor Brian will answer as many questions as time will allow. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know him better and gives him the opportunity to learn more about our thoughts and concerns.
Topics of questions can include (but are not limited to) theological, biblical, historical, Christ Covenant Church specific questions, personal, and philosophy of ministry.  More information will be coming, but you won't want to miss this so SAVE the date!

Saturday, January 5 | 7 AM
Our Ministry to Men (MtM) are gathering at Stacks Kitchen (11100 Monroe Rd.  in Matthews) on Saturday, January 5, for food and fellowship.

During our breakfast we will learn more about Kris's ministry and opportunities to change a child's life. All men are invited to attend, and you are welcome to bring a friend or your son (18 and older)  Come on out on Saturday and break bread with your brothers in Christ. New Covenant Group

If you find yourself with an opportunity to join with others on Friday evenings for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer, there is a brand-new covenant group forming in the new year that will be meeting locally every Friday. Two new families who have just joined Christ Covenant are going to lead the group and are looking forward to having a few more folks (singles or couples) join them. Their names are Keith and Paula Gruttemeyer (Young Seniors community) and Alex and Lark Hutton (Student Family community). This is a wonderful opportunity to grow together in a multi-generational group that seeks to grow closer to the Lord and closer together in a tight knit, devoted group. If you are interested, please contact Jennifer Dean at 704-708-6104 or at jdean@christcovenant.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
