This position is responsible for safely driving the Montreat College van to and from student off-campus housing and campus. This person responds to off-campus student’s transportation requests as needed. Job includes weekend rotation. Must be certified to drive the Montreat College van which includes a background driving check and on-line testing.
We are also in need of a student worker(s) Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 3 PM in Campus Security. Tasks would include, but are not limited to: walking the campus, issuing parking citations, helping with parking for special events and answering the Security phone.

The RA role provides aspiring student leaders the chance to develop in a number of areas through event planning, administrative tasks, community development, and team-building. The opportunities for personal and professional growth outside the classroom abound! RAs also receive weekly mentorship from a supervisor (Residence Director). Lastly, this is the highest paying job on campus with RA’s receiving a $4,000 value for the entire academic year of employment.

New outdoor education faculty member
Ryan Zwart is the newest faculty addition to OE and began teaching this semester. He loves mountain biking, makes a mean pizza, and is excited to teach in a setting that incorporates faith into learning. He and his ‘brainiac’ wife, Lindsey, a registered nurse, also have two beloved dogs, Zeke and Indy. Help us welcome Ryan if you see him!
