RETREAT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ
As we transition to a virtual program, I have been looking at many "virtual" escape game options. Because we are going virtual, we are not restricted to sticking in Atlanta or the U.S. for that matter. We will be doing our virtual game in Eastern Europe - in English (no worries). Because of the time zone difference, we will have to spread the games over two days - 8/14 and 8/15. The games will begin at 11 am EST and we will end no later than 6:30 pm in order to accommodate everyone - the games are between 60-80 minutes in total and there will be no meeting before or after. You will need to make sure you have downloaded Zoom and can essentially play from anywhere, but it is best to play on a laptop or desktop - not a phone.
I need you to please let me know if 8/14 is not possible for you since this date was never announced - I need this information by Monday. If you had conflicts before, I need you to send those to me again so I might be able to move you to a game on 8/14.
Your bag and supplies for the coming year will be available for pick-up at the Thornhill clubhouse (9200 Waits Ferry Crossing, Johns Creek) on the following dates/times. If you would like to pick up your classmates bags (parents can also just pick up the bags), that is fine, just let me know. Please plan to wear masks when you pick up your bag. The times are as follows:
Monday August 10th - 12 pm - 2 pm
Tuesday August 11th - 2 pm - 4 pm
Wednesday August 12th - 12 pm - 2 pm
I will be scheduling a Zoom meeting with each class on August 13th and will send a link out. This meeting will be less than 30 minutes and will give you important information for the upcoming program year. Please try to attend, but I will also record the meetings and make that available via google drive after the meeting.
Who knew that we would be having our retreat in Eastern Europe in March - kind of cool when you think of it! We have had to pivot to a virtual program rather quickly and as a result I hope you will bear with me as we work through making this a great experience for all of you.
Please feel free to email me with any questions and look for more updates in the coming days. Have a wonderful weekend.
