Resources for Parents
Cultivating Teen Faith was written following a multi-denominational study of the confirmation process and published last fall. Researchers identified that faith in the home was the single most significant predictor of flourishing teen belief . As teens continue to form their own faith, they are looking to you. They learn from your habits, and the priority you place on your faith development. They also learn from the stories you share. We encourage you to talk about faith with your teenagers - share your faith story and ask them about theirs. And, we encourage you to pray for and with your teenagers! If you would like conversation starters or additional information on how to talk about faith with your teen, please contact Pavielle .

Anxiety has increased in the past decade, especially in teenage girls.   Dr. Lisa Damour, a psychologist and author, addresses how to help teenage girls reframe anxiety and strengthen resilience in her new book, Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Girls . For an overview of the book and list of some tested strategies for reining anxiety back in that will work for girls and boys , check out this article .
