Parent Access and Release of Information
Are your folks asking how to pay the bill, or how can they get access to your account?
Your MyCWU account belongs to you, and you can give access to your parent/guardian (or other trusted adult) if you choose.
- Allowing your trusted adult to have some access may make it easier to pay the bill, and also may allow them to check grades, view class enrollment, order a transcript, communicate directly with the university about their student, and so forth.
- You can choose what kind of information can be accessed, and set a starting and end date for that access.
- See more information in the Student Participation Guide under Release of Information.
- Full instructions (illustrated) can be found on this Release of Information page on the CWU Financial Aid page.

What does Withdrawal mean?
When a student has taken part of a CWU course and can't finish it, they may withdraw. This may be caused by a family moving, a student personal hurdle, health issues, etc.
- Withdrawal means no credit or grade is earned, and it has no effect on your CWU GPA.
- The fees will not be reversed, the bill still needs to be paid.
- Be aware of academic and financial consequences of a withdrawal, as well as tutoring and academic advising that are available to help you succeed.
- The CWU transcript will show a W+, W, or HW for a withdrawn course, depending on the type of withdrawal.
For complete information on Uncontested, Complete, or Hardship Withdrawal Policy and deadlines, please visit CiHS Withdrawal Policy
