Student Contests
When a young person speaks up people listen up. Look no further than climate activist Greta Thunberg for the evidence. The 17 year old has addressed the United Nations and she is currently in the running for a Nobel Peace Prize.
High school students, college students, young adults in the workforce: The pro-life cause needs them! Their voices have a special power to change the world.
That is why People for Life takes spends the time and effort every year to provide Erie area high school and middle school students with opportunities to increase their depth of pro-life knowledge, sharpen their communications skills (verbal and written), and augment their self-confidence as spokespeople for those who are marginalized and powerless.
If you are a teacher, a youth group leader, or a parent, we are asking for your help recruiting Oratory and Essay contest participants.
Everyone is invited to download and circulate our Oratory and Essay contest posters.
Please consider forwarding this section of our E-Mail Update to your friends and contacts who might be interested in spreading the word about our Student Contests.
People for Life's annual Oratory Contest for high school students will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 in Erie, PA (exact location to be announced). All high school students are welcome and encouraged to compete.
There will be separate levels for grades 9-10 and 11-12. First-place winners will receive $100; second-place winners will receive $50, and third-place winners will receive $25.

Pro-Life Kids!
Pro-Life Kinds! is a brand new book by Bethany Bomberger. Bethany's husband, Ryan Bomberger was the Special Guest Speaker last month at People for Life's annual Pro-Life Breakfast.
In today's "brave new world," children are growing up surrounded by a culture of death and many dangers and challenges it presents. It is never too early to begin fostering pro-life values and attitudes and teaching our kids that every human individual has value and a purpose. Bethany Bomberger has produced an top-quality book to help parents do exactly that.

The Bombergers gave us an extra-generous deal on a quantity of Pro-Life Kids!, so we are able to offer them for a donation of only $15 per copy. They are available at People for Life, 1625 W. 26th St., Erie.

We plan to make the books available at our pro-life educational booths this summer and expect them to be a big hit with parents and grandparents.

Race for Congress
At least one Democrat who is challenging pro-life Congressman Mike Kelly is a pro-abortion zealot. As you'll see below, she's even come out against Rep. Dan Lipinski of Illinois, the last remaining pro-life Democrat in the United States Congress.
