It's hard to believe we're already halfway done with the year! While some families may already be thinking about back-to-school season, the OSF team is hard at work preparing for tax year 2027 (yes, you read that right).

As part of the "One, Big Beautiful Bill Act," a federal education tax credit will go into effect beginning in 2027. For individuals and couples filing jointly who already support OSF, this means they will have the opportunity to receive federal tax credits in addition to state tax credits for redirecting their tax dollars to student scholarships.

OSF intends to support implementation of this tax credit, and our team is working hard to ensure we can seamlessly fold this benefit into our current offerings. Rest assured, we'll share details when they become available about how you can take advantage of this credit, whether you're a donor, member school administrator, parent, lawmaker, etc. More to come!

As always, we appreciate your support of OSF and our mission to help every child access the school that best fits their needs.

Thank you,

Sarah Guardiola, CEO

If you haven't read our 2025 Annual Report, never fear! Here are the highlights:

  • Nearly 1,500 scholarships distributed
  • Scholarships totalled $3.6 million
  • Over 760 donors
  • 60+ member schools benefitted

Every dollar donated to OSF is used efficiently and effectively. In fact, 90% of all donations turn into student scholarships. The other 10% powers a shared service model, which helps keep member school overhead low and scholarship impact high.

Through the shared service model, schools have access to our team and resources, as we help them identify potential donors who can designate a donation to their member school. Those donations turn into scholarships, growing a school's attendance and revenue and helping them stay open to serve more students. Students get to access the learning environment that best fits them, plus donors receive incredible tax credits and benefits.

Bottom line? Our program is a win-win-win all around!

We want to give a special shoutout to OSF member school Positive Tomorrows, which serves students and families experiencing homelessness in the OKC metro.

Determined to not let these vulnerable children and their families slip through the cracks, the school provides wraparound services and quality education in a safe, stable environment.

Here's a snapshot of their work last year:

  • 191 families served
  • 47,000+ nutritious meals provided
  • 17,795 instances of transportation assistance
  • 8,100+ basic necessities supplied, like clothing and shoes
  • 300+ medical check-ups, dental/vision/hearing screenings

Thanks to our generous donors, OSF is able to support the ongoing, crucial work of Positive Tomorrows.
