Meet the Tutors
Casey Lyons
Tutoring Specialties - Math (except pre-calculus & calculus), General Questions, Speech, basic English

What is the best thing about being a tutor?
I love helping people finally understand and get better at Math. Most students know it, they just don't have confidence in
themselves that they can do math. I love to be their cheerleader and cheer them on as they learn the material.

What advice do you have for students thinking about getting a tutor?
I recommend getting a tutor right at the beginning of each semester. Please don't wait until you are behind. It is hard to get you caught up, but we will take you at any point during the semester! Please don't be afraid to come see us. We want to help you!!

If you could change anything about being a tutor, to help your students more, what would it be and why?
I wish I could go in people's brains and take out the doubt they have for math. Most people CAN do it, but are so unsure about math that they shut down. I wish I could take that away.

What are your hobbies, interests or life goals?
I love the water and being outside. I enjoy going to the beach and looking for seashells, looking at the sunrise/sunset, looking at the stars, going to my son's sport events (baseball and wrestling are my favorite) and going for walks on the trail with my family.
I enjoy watching Greys Anatomy and This is Us.

Wheeling Campus Parking
As we continue to work on improving our campus, the parking situation in Wheeling is being adjusted once again.

Beginning March 25, Lot B will be completely closed. We anticipate this closure lasting about one month.

The Student Union, ATC, ITC, and 17th Street lots are all fully open for students, faulty, and staff with their parking permit.

All of these changes are reflected in our most recent parking map.
