The weekly update from the State Board of Education
Weekly Update | January 24
A Student Opportunity to Dream
Student Board Member, Margarita Amezcua, presented to the Board last week about a topic very close to her heart: the migrant and bilingual education experience in Washington.
In line with her passion for representing English Language Learners, Margarita testified on January 20 regarding Senate Bill 5607 regarding dual language in K-12.
Check out some highlight quotes and a video link to her presentation from the Board Meeting below.
The Association of Washington School Principals' (AWSP) Scott Friedman talks about how students can achieve the Career and Technical Education (CTE) graduation pathway option in this short, but sweet video.
