Hello Middle School Parents!
My name is Whitney Eads, and I am the Director of Theatre Arts at CA. Each year, our middle school students are invited to get involved in our after-school MS musical. This year, we are producing School of Rock!, Young Actor's Edition, which will be performed on the Schoedinger Theatre stage on January 29-30, 2027.
This past week at assembly, I presented a few “getting started” details with our MS students (click here to view slides). If your child is curious about getting involved, they should join our Google Classroom page (code: h3yiqn7s).
Students can get involved in our production in two main ways:
- As an Actor
- As a Crew Member (Build & Run Crews)
Detailed audition packets for actors and crew forms for crew members will be available starting tomorrow on my bulletin board and on our Google Classroom page. Both forms cover what the commitment asks of our students, important dates and how our families can be involved in the process. The audition packet also contains all audition materials.
The MS musical program is extracurricular and voluntary, but we are always thrilled to see who chooses to step on stage during this wonderful CA tradition.
Theatre not your child’s thing? That’s okay! Everyone belongs in the theatre. The audience is the final piece to our puzzle. Our entire middle school will take time on January 28 to watch the final dress rehearsal of the show. We hope you and your family join us for the evening shows later that week.
