Dear Mass Motion Dance Community,

This COVID-19 has already proved to be a rapid and life-changing experience and we are grateful for your support and patience through this process. Unchartered territory for us all to say the least. We have made the decision to close the studio for two weeks, through March 28th. After that, we will be making a week-to-week decision about when our studios will re-open. We will send an email out each Sunday with a studio-wide update. All of our updates are posted on our website and you can access them HERE

We are planning to hold our annual recital one way or another and will be moving forward with our planning from home. While it is still too early to know what the situation will be in June, we are already brainstorming a number of ideas as a back up plan if we are unable to use the auditoriums as scheduled. One way or another...the show MUST go on! We will inform you of any decisions once we have finalized them. We know that many of the dancers are worried about what will happen and sad to miss classes in the next few weeks. Please re-assure them that we will do whatever is necessary and we will be ready for the show when it happens. We are committed to extra class and rehearsal time!

Our Competition Team's next competition, SHOWSTOPPERS, has not made a formal announcement yet. We will not be attending the competition, but we are waiting to hear any information from them. We will inform the Competition Team in a personal email as soon as we know.

The Sturbridge Locations Trip to TROLLS LIVE is currently on hold. Tickets were not yet purchased, so we are able to refund all ticket fees if we do not attend. We will email the guests who had planned to attend in a seperate email.

Currently, Broadway is shutdown until the week of April 13th. We will follow the situation and make a decision closer to the date. Amtrak is allowing tickets to be re-scheduled at no cost. We will address NYC in a seperate email as well.

Here are some of the ways we are here for you:
-We are working from home and available for questions. You are welcome to email us at any time and we can return phone calls as well. We are not at the studio, so please email us if you would like us to call you.

-Videos will me made available online for practice as soon as possible. We are in the process of gathering videos and links for dancers to use from home. All Intensive Students were emailed a link to CLI studios so that they are able to go online and take a number of guest classes with some amazing teachers.
-Missed class make-up schedule and/or extension of season. This is the most difficult piece to speculate at the moment. We will obviously come to a solution that best fits our community and makes the most sense for all involved.

-We are listening, please let us know if there is anything else you need!! Please know that we are doing everything we know how to right now.

  • More than ever our kids will need to get some exercise and physical activity. This is key to staying healthy and happy!

  • Having our kids stick to their routine (even if their dance classes are now at home) helps reduce anxiety for our kids. They can stretch and do strength exercises...or maybe teach other family members a dance. They can show them to us when they get back to the studio!!

We will continue to be in close contact with scheduling updates and hopefully return to the studio as soon as possible. As of right now, we do plan to hold classes during April School Vacation Week and we will be offering a schedule of classes to make-up any missed classes during this closure.

We wish you all a healthy week and will be in touch. We hope that many of you are able to enjoy the time to slow down and spend time with your family.
