Greetings!
Last month, I continued to teach three classes on Course #1: Bible Study Methods & Rules of Interpretation. The students are learning many things from this course(1):

  • An awareness of their need to personally apply and obey the Bible as they preach and teach others.
  • To demonstrate that an important purpose of studying the Bible is for personal “training in righteousness” so pastors and church leaders will become more like Jesus Christ.
  • To emphasize the necessity to absolutely and totally depend on the illumination and teaching ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
  • To encourage them to engage in personal, serious, regular Bible study in the text of Scripture.

Testimony
"I’m Mr. R and I was born into a Muslim family. I grew up with the Muslim faith, traditions and culture. I have always tried to get closer to God through my works and five times of daily prayers. We believed, as Muslims, that prayer is the key to heaven.

One day, I met with Samuel and we talked about religion. He told me about his faith in Jesus Christ. He said that a person cannot go to heaven by his actions and prayers, because there is a big wall between man and God; and that wall is sin. No one can go near God or heaven with sin. He told me about Jesus and how He took the punishment of my sin on His shoulders and set me free so that I could have eternal life. That day, I confessed my sin and believed in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord by faith. My born again date was on 18 December 2015 and my salvation verse is 1 Peter 1:23. I was baptized on 24 September 2016.

I am currently a student of CCI and taking the first class: Bible Study Methods. Now, I know the first steps of the Systematic Bible study (Observation, Interpretation and Application). I’m very happy and thankful to God for CCI; that they gave us a chance to do the class in our church. This training is very helpful to understanding the Bible and we’ll grow more and more spiritually. One day I hope to be able to join the gospel and also with CCI. Thanks!"
