MAY 2022
You may notice a new face when you walk into the showroom here at FCI. Please help us welcome Katy Jarboe to the team. Katy is our office manager and will also be our go to on all things appliances. We are excited to have her on board and can't wait for you all to meet her!

In this newsletter, we have a new bar display to share with you, details on countertop finishes, and a new trend that really sheds some light on design! Give us a call for any upcoming projects you have and as we've been saying over and over, order appliances ASAP if you are in need! The lead times are not always ideal, but we will do our very best for you.
We are excited to share this new bar display in our showroom. This bar is full of AMAZING details!
  • Gorgeous painted finish
  • Circle sawn white oak bar top and panels
  • Suede granite countertops
  • Various wine display options
  • Wire mesh doors with glass shelving
  • Door lift to reveal lighted liquor shelf
After reading up on the countertop 'trends' for 2022, it seems like not TOO much has changed over the past few years. Here are a few takeaways that we are also seeing in our designs here at FCI:

  • Quartz is still here to stay! This gorgeous, high durability, low maintenance man-made material is still extremely popular. One material that is gaining popularity is Quartzite, a natural stone with (usually) a more exotic look. It is harder than granite, low maintenance and scratch and stain resistant.
  • Honed or suede finishes over polished. While a polished finish is still the most popular, many homeowners are choosing honed (matte) or suede (also called leathered) finishes for their countertops.

  • Helping to add character to the space, many are opting for bold veining and patterns in their countertop choices.

While we can give you all the trends and happenings that we see, in the end, it is so important for you to choose what works best for your space, your home style, and how you will use and function in the space.

As we have shared many times before, the lead time on some (not all) appliances is very long. We have been suggesting to NOT WAIT if you feel that you need anything. If you feel you just need some maintenance, here are some contacts for you:

Mr. Appliance – 270-297-3333: Contact for Sub-Zero, Wolf, Asko, Vent-A-Hood, and Scottsman products

Preferred Appliance Repair – 844-769-5046: For in and out of warranty work on Whirlpool branded products (KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag, Jenn-Air), we recommend that you contact Preferred Appliance Repair to do the repair. Have your model number, serial number, and purchase date available when calling.
Give us all the natural light! There has been an uptick in kitchen designs with rows of windows, usually found behind the main sink. While this does take away potential upper cabinet storage, we see a clear advantage in gaining more natural light and outdoor scenery. If this is something you love, but are concerned about lost storage, as a custom cabinet builder we can definitely help you find and maximize storage elsewhere in your space.
