It's time for your STYLE ANALYSIS!

We're glad you're here!

We, Sarah & Jenn are eager to see you this week! Please read through this detailed email and reply back if you have any questions. You will want to make sure to complete your homework fully, by 9AM on Thursday. It shouldn't take you long!

And please keep in mind that this information in this email is intended for only those who have paid for our Style Class. Please do not share this email with others. The password for all videos below is 1117STYLE. Thank you!

Now... Let's get your prep work started!

Part 1: Welcome & Questionnaire

Welcome: Please take 5 minutes to watch this video from Sarah.

Yin & Yang Video & Questionnaire: In this video, Sarah covers a thorough explanation of Yin & Yang and how this relates to your style personality. Grab your pen/pencil and your style book before you begin. After answering the questions from the video, please submit the answers on this Google Form. **Some are omitted intentionally. Only submit the answers to the questions asked.

Part 2: Photos

Grab a pair of stretchies (pants & top) for your photos & measurements. We need to see the shapes and lines within your body to get the most accurate measurements. Make sure these are tight and body hugging. This is important!

Watch this video from Jennifer on Language of Shapes, how to take your photos & make accurate measurements.

Please take these 5 specific photos below. It would be best to have someone else take the photos to ensure accuracy. These will not be shared with others or used for marketing purposes.

  • BODY FRONT: Head to toe photo. Face the camera straight on and lift your arms away from your side so we can see your lines in your bust, waist and hip.
  • BODY BACK: Head to toe photo. Face away from the camera with arms by your side.
  • BODY SIDE: Head to toe photo. Arms directly by your side, no to the front or back.
  • FACE/NECK FRONT: Pull hair in a pony tail or fully away from the frame of your face. Your photo should have your full face & neck in the photo.
  • FACE/NECK SIDE: With hair still pulled back, take a straight-on photo of your face, neck and jawline in full view.

Your photos will be uploaded to a Hue & Stripe Style Questionnaire at the end of your prep work.

Part 3: Proportions & Measurements

Take the following 5 photos as directed from the video earlier. In Part 4 you will have a link you will use to upload them to your secure Hue & Stripe account (photos will not be used for marketing or shared)

  1. FACE/NECK FRONT: Pull hair in pony tail or fully away from the frame of your face. Your photo should have your full face & neck in the photo
  2. FACE/NECK SIDE: With hair still pulled back, take a straight-on photo of your face, neck and jawline in full view.

Part 4: Completion & Thursday Virtual Class

If you've watched the videos above, taken your measurements & your photos, you're almost ready for class! Here's your final checklist:

QUESTIONNAIRE: Complete this Hue & Stripe Style Questionnaire (specific to style) where you will enter your contact information, measurements, and upload your 5 photos. After completion of the survey, you will have an option to add photos to an "online wardrobe". You'll add your 5 photos + clothing photos there. Please try to complete this by 3PM on Thursday if possible.

CLOTHES: Gather 2 groups of clothes from your closet to bring to Virtual class. The color of the item doesn't matter, we are focusing on the fit/style/pattern and how you've felt in that item. Accessories aren't necessary, but you're welcome to grab one for each category. Please also upload these to your "WARDROBE in Hue & Stripe through the link above. They can be photos of the garment itself or of you in the garment.

  • LOVE: 4 items you love and feel great in! These are the ones you wear because you know you look good! Look good, feel good! Your confidence shines!
  • NOPE: 4 items you know aren't right for you. You don't have to know why you don't like it, just that you don't feel right in when you have worn it before. These don't make you stand taller or more confidently.

WORDS: Prior to class, please have a short list ready of words for the following categories

  • One word for attractive
  • 4-6 words that describe the way you want to be perceived.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR CLASS: We are going to have a great time! Come comfortable & excited to learn how all these pieces and more, fit together to direct you in your clothing personality and clothing selection! Here's what you need for class:

  • Pencil / pen (I'd take notes in your style book with a smudge-proof pen)
  • Clothing items listed above
  • Word list from above (you'll be sharing these words with us on Thursday)
  • Favorite drink and/or snack for during class
  • A good set-up for your video / camera functionality. You won't be able to hold the phone, so make plans to be hands-free during the class.

Thank you for all your prep work and for choosing us for your Style Consultation. We can't wait to see you all and give you the confidence you are looking for in your clothing selection!

Our Best,

Sarah Kraus & Jennifer Miller
