THE PATHWAY

What Inclusion Looks Like: A Trip to Ely, Minnesota

Residents spent four days at North of North Resort exploring nature, sharing meals, and building connections. Inclusion is something we build together.

Advocacy in Action at the Capitol

Alongside partners, advocates, and individuals who rely on disability services, HBI gathered for Disability Services Day at the Capitol during ARRM’s 2026 Disabilities Services Day at the Capitol.

Throughout the day, our team met directly with legislators to share stories and discuss urgent challenges facing disability services. Conversations with leaders like Senator Latz and Representatives Frazier, Freiberg, and Condon helped reinforce how Policy decisions have real, everyday impacts.

A key concern echoed across discussions was the risk of proposed service reductions and budget cuts. Cuts that will affect providers, strain an already challenged workforce, and limit access to essential supports for people with disabilities.

Residents and staff showed up to share their experiences and remind lawmakers that disability services are essential, cuts have a cost and people with disabilities are more than a waiver.

To stay informed and take action, readers can explore the ARRM Bill Tracker to get more information, follow key legislation, and track bills throughout the session.

Sharing Innovation Across Minnesota

Our staff and leaders participated in this year’s Minnesota Social Service Association (MSSA) Conference, joining providers and leaders from across the state.

Our team connected with others in the field, shared ideas, and explored new approaches to strengthening disability services.

These conversations help move our work forward and ensure we remain connected to the broader community we are part of.

Investing in our People

Several members of our team attended the Empower and Thrive Women’s Leadership and Wellness Summit.

The experience focused on growth, connection, and leadership development. Staff returned with new insights and renewed energy that continues to strengthen our organization.

Investing in our people is one of the most important ways we invest in the future of our work.

Make a Direct Impact

Support from our community helps create meaningful opportunities for the people we serve.

A donation can support:

• shared social experiences in our homes

• outings into the community

• new recreation opportunities
