Dead Reckoning film still

A special one-off evening featuring a screening of 'Dead Reckoning' (pictured) by artist Stephen Hurrel and a live music performance of 'Terrestrial Sea' by artist & musician Mark Lyken with cellist Stacey Sievwright and young Ross-shire based vocalists Alice Bentley and Josephine Sillars.

These works are the outcome of two artists' residencies delivered in collaboration with the University of Aberdeen's School of Biological Sciences and were originally presented at their Lighthouse Field Station in Cromarty during September. We are delighted to be representing them for a new audience in the magnificent setting of Inverness Cathedral. For more info click here

Feedback: TRANSART live car painting

Transart on Faclon Square
'Can't wait to see them driving around Inverness!'
'Absolutely fantastic to see people doing things like this.'

On the 26th - 27th October
members of Team Recoat (Rekor, Syrkus, FiST, Mark Lyken, David Galletly) along with local artists Erlend & Pamela Tait and Jennifer Cantwell transform a range of 5 vehicles on Falcon Square in Inverness. With hundreds of people witnessing the action, our fantastic 'explainers' monitored the public's unexpectedly high degree of enthusiasm, we were amazed to hear that so may passers-by wanted to immediately volunteer their cars!

To see the story unfold in pictures click here or go to BBC Online. Let us know if you spot one of the mobile artworks via Twitter #transart

Lastly if you can't join us in the Cathedral this Saturday 'Dead Reckoning' by Stephen Hurrel will be simultaneously shown at the CCA in Glasgow as part of Sonica's film programme
