Final Reminder: Course Proposal Deadline!

If you've been thinking about teaching a course for OLLI at SOU, now's the time! The winter course proposal form closes at midnight on Sunday, August 31. Share your expertise and enrich the learning experience of the OLLI members. Winter term runs January 5 through March 13. Whether you're thinking about a new course or you're going to treat the OLLI at SOU members to a classic, you have lots of time to research and plan before winter term starts. Email apcoleman2019@gmail.com with any questions.

OLLI and JCLS Present:

Navigating JCLS.org

OLLI at SOU and Jackson County Library Services present: Your Library Services, a series of four, free, public community lectures featuring all that JCLS offers. The first lecture is coming up on Thursday, August 28, 6-7 p.m., PT, via Zoom.

Learn how to navigate the JCLS website with Technical Services Manager Ashley Johnson and Technology Education Supervisor Eric Molinksy.

Register once to receive the Zoom Link for all four lectures.

Priority Registration Course Assignments

If you participated in Priority Registration, notification of the classes in which you're enrolled and/or waitlisted will be sent on Friday, August 29.

If you do not see notification in your email by Saturday, August 30, here are two tips to check your course assignments:

1. Check your spam or junk mail folder.
2. Sign into your OLLI at SOU account and click "My Account" in the upper right, then choose "Course List." This will show which courses for which you are registered and for which you are waitlisted.

Once you have your Priority Registration results, take another look at the OLLI at SOU online catalog, and see what else you'd like to take when Open Registration begins Tuesday, September 2. At that time, you may add as many classes as you like from the dozens of courses available.

• As you review your schedule, please promptly request to drop any courses that you decide not to attend in order to open up space for others. Just email the office at olli@sou.edu with "DROP" in the subject line and provide the name of the course(s) you wish to drop or call 541-552-6048.

Curious About the One Credit Program?

OLLI at SOU members may have noticed a new question on the Membership Form this year about the SOU One Credit Program. We encourage any OLLI member who qualifies to opt-in! It is a free, easy way to support SOU and gives members access to the SOU Hannon Library. Members only have to opt-in once a year now instead of every term to participate. Participating does not require any additional cost or time from you. Read more about the One Credit Program on our FAQ page.
