IOEN is offering residents and fellows participating in programs in the US a unique opportunity in conjunction with the upcoming 11th Annual Direct Anterior Approach Hip Course, being held October 13-15 in Houston, TX:


Submit an abstract related to direct anterior approach total hip arthroplasty by Friday, August 19, for a chance to present that research at the podium during the meeting!


Up to six Abstracts will be selected for presentations at the course. The top 3 chosen by the selection committee will be eligible to present in Houston and will receive an invitation to join the faculty dinner. The remaining abstracts will be presented virtually. The winners of the Game Changer Award - given to the abstract most likely to influence practice - will be determined via polling from the onsite audience. The winner of this award will receive a $1000 prize.*


*Both in-person and virtual presenters are eligible for the Game Changer Award.

 

The lead (resident or fellow) author of the abstracts selected for in-person podium presentations will receive a grant of up to $600 for travel expenses, 2 nights' accommodations, and the opportunity to present the paper during the meeting.

 

All abstracts selected for podium presentation will also be featured on IOEN's website and will be promoted to the orthopaedic community.

 

Only 1 submission per person will be accepted, and only residents and fellows practicing in the U.S. are eligible. 

 

Your abstract must address topics related to direct anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, must be 200 words or less, and must include the following: 

 

  • Title
  • Author names
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions
