Funding Opportunity - School SBIRT
SBIRT or Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment is an evidence-based strategy to address behavioral health concerns, including vaping, alcohol, and marijuana use. SBIRT is used in traditional health care settings, but since it is a universal prevention method, it can be used in the school setting. SBIRT in schools is also one of the strategies in the 2022-2026 Marathon County Community Health Improvement Plan.
The Wisconsin Safe and Healthy Schools Center is taking applications for schools to implement or continue using SBIRT. The deadline to apply is September 22, 2023.
