STUDIO PARTY 13: MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR

Thank you to everyone who took part in Studio Party 13: Magical Mystery Tour! Due to the generosity and support from our community, Studio Party 13 was an incredible success that raised over $80,000. With over 320 guests in attendance, McColl Center for Visual Art's "fab" fundraising event also generated $28,343 in art sales which directly supports the talented working artists living in our vibrant community.

None of this would be possible without the support from our patrons and sponsors, we are grateful for your continued support. Each and every one of our supporters helps to ensure that McColl Center for Visual Art's mission can continue connecting art and artists with the community.

"Bank of America is proud to have supported the McColl Center for Visual Arts from the start and watch it become one of the leading contemporary cultural centers in Charlotte and the Southeast.  Their facility ensures that working artists have the space and resources to further their work while enhancing the vibrancy of Charlotte's artistic community." Charles Bowman, North Carolina and Charlotte market president.

McColl Center for Visual Art would like to recognize our event co-chairs Olga Faison, Blair Farris, Pam Stowe, and Laura Thompson for their support and enthusiasm for this event. Special thanks to all of the Center's participating artists, and our hardworking volunteers, Board, and staff.

The Best Dressed Award goes to Mitchel Kearney who will win a pair of tickets to next year's Studio Party event.  And our Beatles-trivia award winner is Julius Franz who wins a woodcut print by former resident artist, Daniel Allegrucci.

While many of the 475 works of art were sold during the event, there is still an opportunity to purchase or commission an artwork. For more information, contact Claudia at [email protected].

Additionally, if you missed your opportunity to purchase one of the beautiful works of art for sale on Saturday night, here's a second chance! Anatoly Tsiris has offered to give one of his fantastic works of art ($1,700 value) to the first person who pledges at least $1,000 to the Center's Power2Give "Woodchuck" Project. Your donation will be fully tax deductible and will be matched dollar for dollar by Wells Fargo. What could be better? >> Learn about the Woodchuck Project
