Sunday Reflection
St. John's Church, Lafayette Square
July 4, 2021
Good morning St. John's Community,

If you have been to Lafayette Square recently, you will have seen a massive fence surrounding Lafayette Park. It's been there for the better part of a year, and only in the past few weeks has it been opened up with gates allowing people to enter the park. Happily, since last Sunday, the fence has been totally removed. (You can see how it looks now in this photo.) It is one more element of life returning to what it was like pre-COVID.

Three other noteworthy changes that take place today are the return of our Parish Choir at the 9am service, the return of the nursery for little ones, and our first Festival Music service since the pandemic started as we celebrate July 4th with fife and drum at both services!

I hope you will join us today either in person or online.

God's peace,
Rob+
