Suder Montessori Reopening Update
A huge thank you to the 414 families that completed the CPS Learning Preference Survey! Suder Montessori’s priority is to ensure that we continue to create a safe learning environment for all students, staff, and parents and your response to the survey greatly assists in careful, intentional planning.

42%, 183 students, of our school population have opted to return to in-person instruction. Please note that families can go from “hybrid” to “learn at home” at any time. However, the next opportunity families who selected “learn at home” can change to “hybrid” is in the fourth quarter. In fulfillment of our school’s vision, Suder staff continues to work around the clock to create an in-person and online environment that cultivates the roots of responsibility and wings of independence in every child. In order to help parents better understand what schooling at Suder Montessori will look like come January, please carefully review the information below:
  • Suder Montessori prides itself on building and cultivating strong relationships with our students and families. As a result, all students will remain with their current teacher whether in-person or online.
  • All students who selected learn at home will continue to engage in remote learning every school day.
  • Students in Early Childhood (Pre-K & Kindergarten) who selected hybrid will return to in-person instruction on January 11, 2020.
  • Early Childhood (Pre-K & Kindergarten) students who selected hybrid will attend school four days a week including Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All Early Childhood students will engage in remote learning on Wednesdays.
  • Students in Elementary 1, Elementary 2, and Middle School who selected hybrid will return to in-person instruction on February 1, 2020.
  • Elementary 1, Elementary 2, and Middle School who selected hybrid will attend school two days a week including Monday and Tuesday. All Elementary 1, Elementary 2, and Middle School students will engage in remote learning on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
  • All students, hybrid and learn at home, will receive revised schedules within the next two weeks.
Additional information about Suder's reopening will be shared in the coming weeks. Please feel free to review the links below for additional information on CPS' reopening.
