Chicago Public Schools utilizes the Aspen system. Aspen is the Student Portal
where 1st -8th grade parents can access grades and attendance, historical data,
graduation requirements, student fees, etc.
The Student Portal URL is aspen.cps.edu and you will use your CPS
username (not your email address) and password to log in.
Use the Parent Portal to easily and conveniently check grades, attendance, and
other information about your student's progress. Parents who are interested in
creating a portal account for the first time must confirm the following.
- You are listed as a contact for your student(s) in the current Student Information System, and
- You have an up-to-date email address in the current Student Information System
Assuming the above items are complete, you should have received an email that will start
the sign up process. To sign-up for Parent Portal, please contact Ms. Baker and
provide your up-to-date email address and request a Parent Portal account in
Aspen. Once parent contact information has been verified by the school,
parents will receive a signup email from Aspen. If you don’t receive the sign-up
email, we recommend checking your Spam folder. If you are unable to locate the
email, please contact Ms. Baker at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
