CAC to Expand Mental Health &
Forensic Interview Services
|
With enhanced funding from the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance (MOVA), the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County is expanding our staff and client resources to meet the growing demand for services. This funding will allow the CAC’s Mental Health Team to hire an additional
bi-lingual, master’s level family advocate
to provide the Child & Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI). Since first offering CFTSI in 2015, CAC clients have experienced considerable benefits with this program. We are pleased to be able to increase capacity to serve more families in our community.
Additionally, the CAC will add a
Multidisciplinary Team Coordinator/Forensic Interviewer,
a key team member who facilitates the CAC’s frontline response to reports of child abuse and conducts specialized interviews with children exposed to violence. To learn more about our services or these roles, click

CAC Marathon Team Conquers Elements
|
Despite the chilly temperatures, pouring rain and driving wind, the five members of Team CAC 2018 were eager to line up in Hopkinton and represent the CAC on their journey to Boylston Street. In the words of team
member Tracey Sullivan,
“It was truly an unbelievable experience. There were so many points where I wanted to give up, but the greater purpose of me running kept reminding me to push forward. I knew the elements I was experiencing in the race were small in comparison to the obstacles the children at the CAC are faced with.”
We are so grateful to Tracey and teammates Margo Cramer, Trip Hargrave, Caitlyn Weller, and Lauren Pratt for their dedication and commitment. Our marathon team raised over $30,000 to support CAC services! If you’d like to read their stories or make a donation to thank them for their efforts, you may do so
