On February 27th, 2016 Smyser Christian Church will be hosting an auction at Windsor High School. Proceeds raised will go toward their upcoming mission trip. There will be items donated by over 100 contributors. Including Agri Fab, Chicago White Socks, Magic House in St. Louis, Thirty-One, Shedd Aquarium, Big Splash Adventure, Ace Hardware. Items include, free tickets, signed photographs, metal signs, yard cart, jogging stroller, artwork, washer/dryer, table & chairs, outdoor storage cabinet, and much more (see list of donors below)! Items are coming in every day! There will also be a Coffee/Snack Bar, 3 time Octoberfest Champion Chili by Sherry Warren and Tim Luallen, and students will provide live music for your entertainment.

In June of 2016; 28 high school students and adult sponsors will be boarding an airplane headed to Belmopan, Belize. They will be living among and serving the Belizean people. While there, they will be working on church construction repairs but their main focus is in building relationships and being a source of encouragement to the people they meet as they share the love of Christ.

Each person going on the trip is expected to contribute a significant amount of the actual cost. However, they still need to raise between $5,000-$7,000 at the auction to help cover expenses. They invite the community to come for a fun evening of music, laughter and bidding wars at this auction fundraiser.

American Legion Auxillary brings you the annual wine expo and vedor fair! Sunday, February 28th from 1-4pm at the American Legion Hall.  

Wineries include Castle Finn Winery of Marshall, Fox Creek of Olney and Lasata Wine of Lawrenceville.  Must be 21 to taste wine, ID's will be checked.  $5 to enter.
