Yesterday, we reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the District. Click here
to read a summary of the TA with highlights. If approved, the MOU will remain in effect until August 31, 2021, or until a replacement agreement is bargained. Please note, our current CBAs remain in effect until 2022. The MOU would supplement the CBAs, and in some instances would modify provisions of the CBAs to address impacts on our working conditions due to the global pandemic.
Your SEA leadership team, Bargaining Team, and SEA staff are working as quickly as they can to proof the final documents to share a complete copy of the MOU TA with you.
Tonight, the SEA Board of Directors will meet to review and make a recommendation on the Tentative Agreement to the Representative Assembly. The Representative Assembly will meet tomorrow night at 5:30pm to review and vote on the Tentative Agreement.
Please read over the summary document linked above and keep an eye out for the full document that will be sent out shortly. After reviewing those and other documents on our website (follow the Bargaining Updates link), direct questions/concerns you have to your Association Representative (AR).
We understand this is a short turn-around. Our current MOA expires this Monday, August 31, and it is important for us to have in place a new agreement to provide protections for members.
