Consent Agenda
Board approved:
- Renewal of Accelerated Reader
- Payment of annual accreditation fees to AdvancED
- Payment to the University of West Georgia for 2018 graduation ceremonies
- February, 2018, and March, 2018, financial reports
- Purchase of three 2018 Isuzu trucks for use by the maintenance grounds crew
- Surplus of three modular classroom units located at Lithia Springs Elementary
- Renewal of the Microsoft School Licensing agreement
- Renewal of the Microsoft Support agreement
- Upgrade of the district's IP intercom system
- Bid schedule for the School Nutrition Department for the 2018-2019 school year
- Changes to Board Policy DJED: Bids and Quotations
- Certified and classified personnel were approved, including the following appointments:
- Marcus Harley, teacher at Chapel Hill High School, to assistant principal at Stewart Middle School
- Joy Moses, counselor at Douglas County High School, to assistant principal at Lithia Springs High School
- Mary Lowen, teacher at Social Circle High School, to special education supervisor
Discussion and Action Agenda
Board discussed and approved:
- Tentative adoption of FY 19 budget
- Purchase of door hardware and technology hardware to provide secure access at each high school
- Purchase of 31 doors for LSHS in conjunction with the Secure Access Project at all DCSS high schools
- Certificates of the Board of Education certifying that the dish machine installation at DCHS and the cooler/freezer replacement at Mt. Carmel Elementary have been paid in full
- Contract with Southern Behavioral Group
- Contract with Pediatric Services of America
- Contract with Comprehensive Therapy Consultants for SLP services and for OT/PT services
- Contract with Educational Based Services for SLP services
- Contract with Cobb Pediatric Speech Services

Summer camps and overnight and out-of-state field trips were presented for review.
