Work Session Agenda
- Daniel Dooley from Centegix presented information on an emergency alert system for schools.
- Board of Education Vice Chair Michelle Simmons made a presentation on her experience in Ghana during the summer of 2018 as part of the Fulbright-Hayes Group Projects Abroad program. She will present again at the Lithia Springs Library on November 10 at 11:00 am. Ms. Simmons is pictured at the top of the Communique.

Student Achievement and Leadership
- Payment of International Baccalaureate exam fees
- Renewal of Education Galaxy for all elementary schools
- Payment to Research Associates and The Evaluation Group for L4GA start-up and quarter 1 post award services
- Payment to Peachtree Hotel and Conference Center for a performance review work session for principals and district leaders in summer of 2019
Finance
- Financial reports for June, July and August, 2018
- Based upon the financial performance of the school district during the prior year, the Board approved for all DCSS employees to once again receive a one-time compensation check in the amount of 2% in December of 2018.
School Nutrition
Surplus of school food service equipment
Personnel and Policy
- Contract with Elevate K-12 for online instruction which will be piloted at Lithia Springs High School for spring semester of the 2018-2019 school year
- Certified and classified personnel
