Good morning,
There’s something about June that feels like opening a new notebook.
The days are longer, the gardens are growing, and summer stretches out in front of us with a sense of possibility. Even though we're nearly halfway through the year, this season often feels like its own fresh start.
And that's the thing about beginnings—they don't belong exclusively to January 1st.
We tend to think we need a new year, a Monday morning, or the perfect plan before we can start over. But life doesn't really work that way. Fresh starts happen in ordinary moments. A random Tuesday. A morning walk. A conversation. A decision to try again.
As we approach the midpoint of the year, perhaps this is less about setting new goals and more about pausing long enough to notice where you are.
What's surprised you so far this year?
What have you learned?
What are you ready to release?
What do you want more of?
Maybe you've discovered you're stronger than you thought. Maybe you've learned that some things matter less than you once believed. Maybe you've found unexpected joy in cold water dips, early mornings, deeper friendships, or simply slowing down enough to notice the beauty around you.
Whatever this year has held, you don't need to wait until January to make a change.
You can begin again from here.
You can let go of the habit, belief, expectation, or "should" that's weighing you down.
You can choose more of what lights you up.
You can take one small step toward the life you want to be living.
No grand reinvention required. Just a willingness to turn the page and begin the next chapter.
What is one area of your life that's asking for a fresh start?
What would it look like to take one small step in that direction this week?
Wishing you a week of play, joy and laughter,
Lisa
