Hello Youth & Formation Friends!

I t's been a while. I have been thinking for a while about how best to utilize this platform so that it best serves those of you who are engaged with the formation of youth, children, and adults. Part of my evaluation of this began as I was part of the Hybrid Faith Formation cohort sponsored by Lifelong Learning at Virginia Theological Seminary during the late Winter/early Spring. More about how you can participate below.

During the course of the class, I took stock of the ways in which I already utilize digital tools as well as how I can be using them more effectively. One of my learnings was how much and how often to send in depth information. Instead of sending resources once a month I am going to try out sending them quarterly. Information about registration dates and deadlines may be part of these emails, but there will be event specific emails sent too. Hopefully it will be easier for you to locate information when you need dates and deadlines.

I have made a commitment to expand our presence on FaceBook and Instagram. I am, by my own confession, not a "tweeter". However, if there is someone who has an interest in increasing our presence in the Twitterverse, I'd love to talk with you about how you might help us better engage in that ministry.

All of this has been unfolding over the past couple of months. I know the ministries in your contexts have been shifting and changing too. Program years have ended, summer programs are in full swing, and planning for the 2019-2020 is beginning or well underway. I hope you will find the resources helpful to you as your ideas for 2019-2020 begin to unfold. As always, please reach out. I am happy to assist you, happy to connect you, or happy to meet with you about faith formation in your context.

God's Peace as the remainder of your summer unfolds.
