Recognizing service and volunteerism throughout Maryland

Over 200 volunteers, including Maryland AmeriCorps members serving with the Maryland Conservation Corps of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, participated in a park clean up and invasive species removal during the 5th Annual Great Outdoors Day of Service. Maryland Conservation Corps is an AmeriCorps State program supported by the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism.

Deadline August 20:  Nominate Youth Volunteer Groups Serving Maryland Communities for the M&T Bank Honor Rows Program!
 


During each Baltimore Ravens home game throughout the 2018 regular season, the M&T Bank Honor Rows program will salute youth groups who provide outstanding service to our communities. Honorees will receive up to 100 tickets to attend a Baltimore Ravens game and in-game recognition on RavensVision. Nominations are due August 20.

Get Your Discount Passes for Governor's Volunteer Appreciation Day at the Maryland State Fair
 


On Sunday, August 26,  Governor  Larry Hogan  invites Maryland volunteers to attend Governor's Volunteer Appreciation Day at the Maryland State Fair. Volunteers, friends, and family are invited to take advantage of discount passes. One pass admits up to five people at a reduced price of $3 total.
 
In addition, we are hosting a school supply drive on the fairgrounds and invite all attendees to donate for students in need.  Items will be collected at the fair entrance gates and various locations throughout the fairgrounds from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Did You Hear? Baltimore and Maryland Rank #1 and #10 for Cities and States Producing the Most AmeriCorps Members Per Capita
  
The Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism joined the Corporation for National and Community Service in announcing Maryland as a top 10 AmeriState and Baltimore a top 10 AmeriCity.
The announcement was made following the release of an annual report by the Corporation for National and Community Service which ranks communities based on the number of AmeriCorps members per capita.
