From the Executive Director
Dear friends and supporters,

As we bid farewell to the spring, and in our case to the many cicadas that have populated our DC region for the past weeks, we are eager to announce that we are actively recruiting for our ILG and GCL programs. Interested candidates can now apply to the next editions of our flagship programs to get a chance to join the classes of ILG 2021 and GCL 2022.

This spring LALP has been actively collaborating with many institutions across the region to design and develop a wide array of custom programs. Some programs are currently being implemented, such as the Leading Education Program in Argentina, and others are about to begin shortly, including our ILG Brazil 5.0 program. If you are interested in working with us for specific programs, please email us at lalp@georgetown.edu.

In addition, in response to our commitment to discuss the most current issues in the region through our dialogue series, we wanted to have a frank conversation with the Colombian ambassador to the United States, Francisco Santos Calderón, to reflect on the current situation in Colombia and discuss potential solutions. You can watch the conversation and read a summary of this and past events on our website, including the Rebuilding Latin America From the Inside webinar featuring Latin American Board members and the President of the IDB.

With the end of the fiscal and academic year, we are pleased to announce the latest issue of the GCG Journal, which from this point on will continue to be published exclusively from Georgetown University. We have a new journal website, so authors and readers can continue to submit and access the incredible research and insights through the new portal.

Finally, congratulations to all our alumni, LAB members, and the many LALP stakeholders for their extraordinary efforts to continue to advance their communities, their countries, and the region during these extraordinary times. Although we can only feature some of them in each newsletter, please join us in celebrating them all as they create a multiplier effect and embody the spirit of our programs. These and other impact news can be read in our annual report and our website.

We look forward to sharing more news with you all in the fall. In the meantime, please reach out to us with any questions or proposals. Happy Summer!

Sincerely.
Ricardo Ernst, Ph.D.
