Good Morning-

As we prepare to enter into the summer term here at Wake Forest, we wanted to provide you with some updates related to our COVID response during the summer months.

While the COVID-19 vaccine is not required for the summer term, it is highly encouraged. Students may find information on vaccination opportunities and other FAQs on OurWayForward. We encourage you to upload documentation of your vaccination with the Student Health Services as soon as possible in order to prevent any unnecessary stays in quarantine/isolation.

As we move into the summer, please note that regardless of vaccine status, students are expected to isolate if directed to do so by the University (see isolation policy). Additionally, students who do not have an approved vaccination on record with the Student Health Services (SHS) will be required to comply with the University’s quarantine policy. Throughout the summer, if you are directed to quarantine and have not previously submitted your vaccine record to SHS, you will be expected to quarantine until the next business day when your record can be reviewed by SHS staff.

During the summer term, students will be quarantined or isolated on campus in our Student Apartments community. Students will have a private apartment during their quarantine/isolation period. Our teams have been hard at work to ensure the support and services that have been provided at the Best Western Plus throughout the year can be replicated on campus, such as food delivery, laundry, etc. Once a student is asked to quarantine/isolate, they will receive additional information and instructions via email that will help guide them through their time in quarantine/isolation.

If you have any questions or concerns once the summer session gets underway, please visit our Quarantine and Isolation website or contact us at [email protected]
