Paid leave and cannabis bills passed
The Minnesota legislature passed the paid family and medical leave legislation in early May and Gov. Tim Walz signed it into law on May 25.

October is Manufacturing Month in Minnesota
To celebrate, manufacturing facilities throughout the state are opening their doors for tours. Manufacturers can offer in-person or virtual tours; reach out to local schools and offer presentations about manufacturing career pathways; sponsor school's VEX Robotics programs; or set up scholarships with local colleges.

Over 60 people attended the AMFA Beverage Tasting event on April 13 at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth! The event raised funds for youth manufacturing programs in the region.

Web marketing minute
Using live video builds trust with your customers. One of the greatest benefits of going live is increasing trust with your customers. Live video establishes a strong level of humanization that is hard to achieve through your website, email newsletter, or even static videos. Through live video you have the opportunity to show your culture and passion for your work. MMA launching new magazine: first issue will include annual MMA directory |
MMA’s membership directory is going to change formats in 2023! The annual printed directory will be included in the inaugural issue of a printed magazine coming out in late October. Midwest Manufacturing Journal will be a full-color standard-size magazine, published quarterly.
The editorial focus of the magazine will be to serve manufacturers in the Midwest with articles and resources on workforce development, legislative advocacy, leadership, innovation, safety, education, networking, partnerships, and more.

Comment on your involvement in AMFA: As a new owner of multiple small businesses, I truly value what MMA and the affiliates do for manufacturing in their respective regions. I appreciate the networking opportunities and ability to work together towards common goals while supporting local jobs.
What would AMFA members be surprised to learn about you? Members might be surprised to learn that my business partner, Tom Wagner and I only knew each for a couple of months before purchasing Hibbing Fabricators in 2021. We bought Trion Solutions a year later.
