Dear Colleagues and Friends (or should I say - Dear Gentle Readers, for fans of the romance series Bridgerton!)
We hope this newsletter finds you in the best of spirits. We are excited to bring to you a report from our General Secretary, Prof. Gihan El Nahas about the very successful MENA Regional conference on women’s mental health held in Cairo, Egypt.
We would also like to inform you that Abstract submission and Early Bird Registrations are open on the IAWMH 2025 website.
We would like to ensure that everyone working in women’s mental health has an opportunity to present their work and to enable this we invite abstracts in different categories
Types of Abstracts
We have three different types of abstracts.
1. Scientific Abstracts – Abstracts related to a research study; clinical or social audit, or a systematic review/meta-analysis
2. Professional Abstracts – Abstracts that describe a service or intervention related to women’s mental health - clinical; community; digital; systemic-( health, social, justice, rights, media, arts); training or policy initiative
3. Abstracts describing Collaborations- Alliance/Association/Network/Professional Group (describing the objective and experience of a collaborative initiative)
Modes of Abstract Submission
- Oral/ePoster
- Symposium- Each symposium will be for a duration of 90 minutes. It will consist of three speakers and one chairperson (one of the speakers can chair the symposium).
-
Workshop- There will be two types of workshops: Pre Conference Workshops on 5th March, 2025 (half or full day) Conference Workshops (90 minutes)
We hope that researchers, clinicians, NGOs, public health professionals, policy makers, basic scientists and persons with lived experience will all find a place to present their work.
