Welcome Home Supporters -

The photo above captures the spirit of Welcome Home. Smiling volunteers, all wearing Welcome Home gear, working together on our loading dock to get the job done. Our 125+ volunteers work on site, from home on their phones and computers, and in the community. Between our space in West Newton and our many partnerships in Eastern Massachusetts we served approximately 10,000 people last year, and we are on track to do the same in 2024.

Come visit us - we are so proud of our work and we look forward to talking about how you can be a part of it.

Warmly,

Julie Plaut Mahoney and Mindy Peckler, co-founders

and The Welcome Home Team

Please note: Welcome Home will be closed from August 10-25 for our summer break.

Plan ahead by scheduling your donation drop off before our closure so we are ready to re-open with full shelves.

with the most basic household necessities. Thank you.

Call for Pillow Cases

Welcome Home recently received a large quantity of sheets from a generous corporate donor.

We could use your extra pillow cases to match with our sheets.

Please set up a drop off appointment here if you have pillow cases or other items to donate.

Congratulations to our recent graduates!

Welcome Home relies on many volunteers, including those in high school. Some schools require volunteer hours and some students volunteer for the pure pleasure of doing meaningful work for others. Best wishes and good luck to Bowie, Caleb, Emma, Max, Nate, and Shayna as they move on! Thank you for your many contributions.

All Over Newton

Lauren Berman, of All Over Newton, has been taking our town by storm. She is coordinating fabulous community events, shopping days, and fundraisers that support our local small businesses, restaurants, stores, nonprofits, and the community at large.

Welcome Home is grateful for her recent efforts to support us on debate night when the following locations donated 10% of sales to Welcome Home. We thank: Dunn-Gaherin, Ninebark, Antoine's Pastry Shop, Blacker's Bakeshop, Cabot's, Cafe Sol Azteca, Cardio High, Cork & Board, Fulfilled Goods, Greentail Table, Indulge!, Jakes's Falafel Corner, Johnny's Luncheonette, Market-tiamo, and Motion Study for their support.

All Over Newton has arranged fun events such as a bakery crawl and wine tastings. Follow All Over Newton and learn more about upcoming local events, new stores and marketing opportunities.

Greentail Table Donates Overstock

Son of Linda de Valpine, owner of beloved store Greentail Table in Newton, donated overstock items to Welcome Home.

If you own a business and have overstock, out of season, or excess home goods (dishes, silverware, drinking glasses, bedding, wall decor, etc.) please consider donating to us. Your items will be well-used in our clients' homes.

Email us to make arrangements to drop off.
