In July, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) joined the Yurok Tribe in Humboldt County to celebrate their Fiber-to-the-Home Project. The open-access middle mile and last mile project is led by theYurok Telecommunications Corporation. It will connect with similar projects by the Karuk Tribe and Hoopa Valley Tribe, creating a digital corridor in the northwest part of California. This project is funded through the CPUC’s last mile Federal Funding Account, which supports broadband infrastructure in communities that need it most.
