We the Best Foundation
Music Lab Ribbon Cutting!
OYC Miami proudly unveiled the We The Best Foundation Music Lab powered by Playing for Change—an exciting new creative space designed to inspire, engage, and empower youth through the transformative power of music.
This special day was made even more memorable with the presence of DJ Khaled and Nicole Tuck, Miami Mayor Francis Xavier Suarez, Commissioner Keon Hardemon, Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board Member Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, Rohan Marley, Mark Caesar of the Caesar-Iglesias Foundation, and our beloved founders Alonzo Mourning and Tracy Wilson Mourning. Their presence reinforced the vital role community, creativity, and opportunity play in shaping the future of our youth.

Congrats
Class of 2025
In the words of Dr. Seuss… “Oh, the places you’ll go!” 🎓✨
OYC Miami is beyond proud of our 2025 graduating class, and we can’t wait to see the journeys they embark on next! We celebrated these incredible seniors at our annual Senior Banquet at the stunning Rusty Pelican, surrounded by love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
From inspiring messages by OYC founder Alonzo Mourning and Honey Shine founder Tracy Wilson Mourning, to the tradition of gifting each senior an OYC letterman jacket and a copy of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, the night was a celebration of legacy, growth, and the bright future ahead.
Special thanks to our amazing supporters who helped make this evening possible: The Children's Trust, the Overtown Children and Youth Coalition, United Way Miami Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Florida Department of Education, Amerant Bank, the NBA Foundation, Bank of American, Warner Music Group - Moore Foundation, Capital One, Big Brother and Big Sisters of America and Take Stock in Children.
Here’s to the Class of 2025—keep soaring!
