Dear St. Raphael Parish Family,

The joy of Jesus be with you! It is difficult to believe it is already July. Each summer we send all St. Raphael parishioners the summer edition of the Religious Education Newsletter that is sent monthly September–April to families who have children in faith formation. Each article in the newsletter is written by a member of the RE team.  The variety of articles reflects the variety of families that we are blessed to have as part of our St. Raphael Parish faith family! 

The theme for the summer RE newsletter is “Summer Fun in the SON.”  Each article reflects on how the lazy, hazy days of summer are a great time to grow in faith.  Our God is the creator of heaven and earth and all seasons sing of His glory!

• Note from the Director: I share my growing pains as a parent and reflect on the ways in which we can help come to know, follow and love Jesus through the witness of our lives. I also share opportunities offered at our parish and in our diocese for how to grow as disciples. 

• Family Outreach: Kathy Baehman reflects on how the joys of summer remind us, and our children, of the goodness of God.   

• Sunday School: Gwendolyn Noto shares the “good news” of the different topics that our littlest disciples will learn about in the upcoming school year. 

• Elementary: Has God given you the gift of teaching?  Do you love sharing your faith with children and families?  Are you seeking a family friendly work environment and a job that is both flexible and meaningful?  If this describes you or someone you know, the Holy Spirit may be calling you to ministry at St. Raphael.  We are currently seeking an elementary education coordinator to join our RE team. Click on the link to learn more!

• Middle School/High School: Katie Klug encourages families with older children to utilize the summer to reconnect and re energize before crazy school year schedules begin again.

• InFormed Highlights: Video clips geared toward parents, youth, and children that focus on living the Catholic faith!
