Glass blower Brad Copping works on the edge of the Canadian Shield, near Apsley, Ontario. Part of an area becoming known as the ‘land between’, it is in this landscape that he has found both muse and foil.
Brad is an award-winning artist whose pieces can be found in the collections of such institutions as Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Royal Ontario Museum. The Corning Museum of Glass has also acknowledged his sculpture for its fine artistry.
Raised amidst the natural beauty of Northumberland County, Monika now creates unique jewellery and art from her studio on Rice Lake. D rawing inspiration f rom gardens, fields and forests, Monika’s work reconnects the human experience to nature. This evolutionary inspiration shows in her designs, where she demonstrates a diverse range of style and technique. Experimenting with silver and semi-precious stones, Monika’s wearable art has texture, depth and beauty.

Parking is still free and there are additional parking spots on weekends at the municipal office just half a block away on Perry Street. It’s a great time to visit Port Perry, to shop at META4 and enjoy lunch on one of the many charming patios. See you soon!

2020: The View from Here Art Show - UPDATE

Who knew  our 15th Anniversary would be marked with the upending uncertainty of a world-wide pandemic? We've been wanting so much to celebrate with you, to throw one of our fabulous soirees, and share some new art. However we must once again adjust our plans.

Out of concern for our loyal supporters we have decided to postpone our celebration even further, pushing our anniversary show to June 2021. So instead of a Quinceanera we'll be celebrating our Sweet Sixteen with  The View from Here  Art Show .

Our plan to celebrate a milestone support established and emerging artists  and raise funds for Scugog Lake Stewards Inc.,  still stands. We'll just be featuring the exhibit at our Port Perry location in 2021.

If you have already registered to participate in the show, or are interested in participating next year, feel free to contact us by email or phone.
