This conversation launches our Summer Author Series (and Pride month) with author Ilana Masad. Join us to explore intersecting identities, the nuance in writing fiction that often reflects reality, and consider challenging your own assumptions about what love is possible.
From June 7-11 the author is facilitating an Emerging Fiction Writers Workshop with two cohorts of students ranging from high school to post-grad. This evening will provide an opportunity for participants to share their work of flash fiction (very short fiction of 500-1000 words) with the community via Zoom.
This program is sponsored by the Schwalb Center for Israel and Jewish Studies-UNO and the Jewish Federation of Omaha. The cosponsors of the workshop include the UNO English Department and UNO Women's and Gender Studies, and UNO's Writer's Workshop.
