2019-2020 Athletics Season Year in Review

All-American Swim & Dive was announced by the NISCA recently and the list was deep with Bulldogs. Congratulations to all of our All-Americans, we are so proud of you and your continued excellence!

The gym has new scoreboards! While students patiently wait to be able to walk the halls again at Churchill, enjoy this peek at a big new addition to the indoor gymnasium. Thanks to the generosity of many Churchill parents, the Booster Club and Athletic Director Jesse Smith are proud to unveil new top of the line Daktronics scoreboards in the main gym. These new scoreboards replace failing outdated scoreboards. They feature white LED lettering for easier viewing from the stands and the main board displays live player statistics. And of course, our beloved Bulldog logo appears on the new boards. We also added new basketball shot clocks over the backboards, making the time easier to see. The new shot clocks light up the entire backboard when time on the shot clock expires. We look forward to being able to enjoy these new scoreboards when our student athletes are once again competing.

Renovations to the baseball and softball fields have begun! The project has three phases: Phase One – Re-grade and plant new grass on the boys baseball field and re-grade the softball field. Locate and clean the existing drains, so that fields drain better. Phase Two – Install new irrigation for both fields. Phase Three – Re-grade and sprig all new grass on both outfields. This is an exciting project for our soccer, baseball and softball teams and will provide much safer surfaces for our student athletes.

Attention incoming 9th graders! Are you interested in participating in sports at Churchill HS during the 2020-2021 school year? If so, we want to get to know you and send you information on the coming year.
