The Bloomingdale Park District offers endless opportunities for your child to have a fun and memorable camp experience. Our summer day camp program is designed to spark your child’s imagination, grow new friendships, and assist them in discovering new talents each and every day. With creatively-planned activities, campers enjoy summer to the fullest extent and look forward to returning year after year.

Bunny Bash & Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt
Hop on over to Bloomingdale's most bumpin' time at the Annual Bunny Bash & Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., April 13 at Circle Park and the Westfield gymnasiums.

The egg hunt starts promptly at 9:30 a.m. in Circle Park, 163 Fairfield Way. The Bunny Bash follows shortly thereafter, running 9:45 to 11:30 a.m., at the adjacent Westfield Middle School gyms.

Both events are FREE! The egg hunt is sponsored by the Lions Club, and the Bunny Bash is sponsored by Eagle Falls Dentistry, Bloomingdale Bank & Trust and AMITA Health.

Bunny Bash activities include a bounce house, coloring contests, craft activities, games, entertainment, pictures with the Bunny, refreshments, book walk with the Bloomingdale Public Library and more. 

All participants for the Bunny Bash MUST pick up a wristband at the Museum. The egg hunt does NOT require a wristband.

Arbor Day Celebration at Westlake Park
Celebrate Arbor Day at Westlake Park with tree plantings, park cleanup, invasive species removal and more!

Organized by Westlake Park Adopt-A-Park sponsor Simmons Knife & Saw, this volunteer event celebrates the role of trees in our lives and promotes tree planting and care, as well as community pride and civic responsibility.

fotoMuses to display at Museum April 13 - May 11

The fotoMuses explore the dynamic meaning of the word "seasons" in a new exhibition appropriately entitled “Seasons,” running April 13 to May 11 at the BPD Museum. These photography professionals are sure to bring creativity to their images, which is visual feast to the eyes of the viewer.

Purely Active Adult Recreation Club

The Purely Active Adult Recreation Club (PAARC) offers a variety of entertaining activities for those 55+. The club meets every Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Bloomingdale Fire Department. PAARC dates for April are 5, 12, 19 and 26.

School's Out! Activities for April-May 

School's Out! provides endless opportunities for first through sixth graders on days off of school. Each day offers a variety of structured yet relaxed activities for your child to enjoy including games, sports, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor playtime, cooking, trips, special events and a whole lot more.  Dates for April and May are April 19 and May 15, 24 and 31.

Johnston Recreation Center Renovation

The Bloomingdale Park District continues to actively complete the capital projects identified by the community as needing repair and/or improvement based upon the successful referendum in November 2016. Renovating the Johnston Recreation Center to include committed space for active older adult programming, improved early childhood/preschool space, and enhanced security throughout began May 2018 with a targeted completion date of Summer 2019.
