Summer Camp 2.0 coming soon!
Due to space and capacity limits set forth by Governor Pritzker's
Restore Illinois Plan the district is unable to run many of its summer camps as advertised back in January. However, with some changes to format and structure, staff are pleased to announce that a new roster of district camps will run in July and August.
Summer Camp 2.0 Online Guide
Summer Camps 2.0 will be posted in the newly-developed online "Summer Camp 2.0 Guide," no later than June 26. A link to this guide will also be emailed to camp parents. Online-only registration begins on July 1 for residents; July 6 for non-residents.

Please honor park playground & basketball court closures!
The Skokie Park District understands that residents are eager to play on district playgrounds and on its basketball courts. However until they open, it is extremely important that patrons work with staff to honor these closings, as the two areas have been deemed highly unsafe by the state and the CDC.
Why? In short, playgrounds are high-touch and high-contact areas, where COVID-19 is easily transmitted. And basketball courts are simply not conducive to social distancing guidelines.
Staff hope to open the playgrounds when the state enters Stage 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, which could be as soon as the end of the month, pending the governor's orders.
In the mean time, while in the parks, please continue to enjoy walking and running, and gathering with members of the same household.

Pooch Park gates to activate next week
Comcast's network upgrade to the Pooch Park entry gates is complete, with park district staff now running operational tests. Gates are set to go online sometime next week. Please remember to begin carrying your membership card in order to enter the park.
Once both forms are complete, please mail them to "Attention: Pooch, Oakton Community Center, 4701 Oakton St., Skokie, IL, 60076" or email them to pooch@skokieparks.org. Membership cards will then be mailed to applicants. Memberships to Pooch Park are valid one year from date of purchase.
Pooch Park is located at 3220 Oakton St., and is accessible from the Dammrich Rowing Center parking lot to the south or from the area adjacent to the Sam's Club parking lot to the north, off of Main Street.
