Announcing Summer Camp 2.0!
Dear Camp Parents & Guardians,

Because your child is currently registered for a Second Session and/or End-of-Season Skokie Park District Summer Camp (July 13-August 21), please read the following information carefully. 
 
Due to space and capacity limits set forth by Governor Pritzker's  Restore Illinois Plan  we are unable to run  many  of our summer camps as advertised for  the   second session and end - of - season.  However, with some changes to format and structure, we are pleased to announce that a different version of our existing camps  will begin  July 13.   
 
Summer Camp 2.0 camps will  take  the place of all previously-advertised summer camps for Session 2 (July 13-August 7) and End-of-Season Camps (August 10-21), with the few exceptions listed below .

You will be able to view these summer camps when we post our newly-developed "Summer Camp 2.0 Guide" no later than June 26. A link to this guide will also be emailed to you.

Cancelled Camp Credits & Refunds  
All previously advertised summer day camps ( not including the  camps above ) have been cancelled. The full amount paid will be applied as a credit to your park district account by June 26. A receipt for each registration will be sent to the email address associated with your account when the credit has been applied. Household credits will remain on your account for you to apply to future registrations and  will  never expire.   
Refund Request:  If you prefer a refund instead of a household credit, please email  [email protected]  and our customer service staff will process your refund request. This will be completed as soon as  possible,  but may take up to  two  weeks to process due to the  large  number  of requests.  
 
Summer Camp 2.0 Registration Information  
  • Friday, June 26 - Summer Camp 2.0 Guide will be available online. 
  • All camp registrations will be ONLINE only. 
  • Payments must be paid in full. 
  • Resident Registration: begins on July 1 at 8:30 a.m. 
  • Non-Resident Registration: begins on July 6 at 8:30 a.m.  
  • Parents are encouraged to log on to their registration household before July 1 to make sure they have access. Please contact our customer service staff at (847) 674-1500, Monday-Friday; 8:30 a . m . -5   p . m .  or email [email protected] with questions or for  assistance  setting up registration  for your  household.  
  • For fee  assistance  and scholarship information please contact Vilma Matos at  [email protected]  or Breanne  Labus  at [email protected]  prior to registration (July 1).  
  • Maximums determined for each camp  and  will not exceed 50.  
  • No prorations.  
  • Camps will be offered in two-week  sessions .  
  • Campers that do not follow instructions or  b ehavior  g uidelines will  not be allowed to  participate  in camp.  Safe behaviors will be enforced.  
Summer Camp 2.0 will include the following (subject to change): 
  • Groups  will be  l imited  to  50 or less (group maximum 1:10 ratio). Groups will be separated from one another and there will be no crossover or   combine d  activities.  
  • There will be n o   busing, field trips or pool outings  (exceptions may apply).  
  • Camps will be divided into  g roup s , each   with  their own  supplies and equipment .  
  • Meeting locations  w ill have   adequate space for activities while keeping groups separated.  
  • Formats will  include a substantial amount of time outdoors playing games, activities,  and  sports , as well as  exploring other interests in the most social setting possible.   
  • Participant s  and staff  will be  expect ed  to follow all cleaning standards and other practices  in accordance with  the CDC and IDPH guidelines.   
  • Staff  is  trained in Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines related to COVID-19.  
  • C amps will include a c ommunication plan  for  parents and staff in the event a COVID-19 case occurs in a staff or participant.  
Participation Rules 
  • Campers must  a dhere  to the Skokie Park District Behavior Code of Conduct (2.7) in the Camp Policies Manual. Click here. 
  • Campers  will be  required  to  f ollow physical  distancing  requirements including tolerating a mask when indoors or when physical  distancing  is not possible.  
  • Campers  must   follow directions  and  independently perform tasks such as  hand  washing, using the restroom, and tying  their  shoes.   
  • Campers will be  required  to  collect  their  personal belongings ,   holding  them as they  switch  program locations.
