Challenger Colorado Summer Camp Registration is now Open
You can now register students for our Challenger Summer Camps!
This year, Challenger is offering space-focused and STEM-focused summer camps to students who will be entering 1st-8th grade in the upcoming 2018/2019 school year. Our camps are written and taught by Colorado educators, and they are designed to be both fun and developmentally appropriate for young learners.
Students Entering 1st - 2nd Grade in the 2018/2019 School Year
Junior Space Explorers
Become a Junior Space Explorer and discover our universe! Campers will participate in hands-on space activities, and they will be introduced to basic programming using
Students Entering 3rd - 5th Grade
These future astronauts will use a variety of robots (
LEGO WeDo 2.0, &
Edison) to develop programming skills as they explore the Moon, Mars and Beyond. Campers will also develop engineering skills through games, challenges, and designing using 3D printing pens.
Students Entering 4th - 6th Grade
Learn about the structures of rockets, launch angles, altitude, stability, and more while building and launching multiple rockets of your own. Campers will take home a different rocket each day of the camp!
Campers will discover fun, hands-on ways to think like space engineers. Can you design an airbag landing system for an egg? Do you know how to take a core sample from an asteroid? Campers will have the opportunity to "fly" a simulated space mission in Challenger's simulator.
Students Entering Grade 6th - 8th
Learn what it takes to plan and launch a mission to Mars. Design, build, and program a Mars rover using
LEGO EV3 robotic kits. The week will culminate in a simulated Voyage to Mars mission using Challenger's custom simulator.
