Many of you may have seen our
“Keep CRC Truckin” campaign
to replace one of our delivery trucks. The following explanation was given to CRC of how our truck, lovingly named “Fred,” received its name:
Fred Flihan was a long-time volunteer at Community Resource Center.
He was a handyman and helped make renovations at our domestic violence shelter and transitional housing. He also helped drive our delivery truck and pick up food and donations throughout the year and especially during Holiday Baskets.
We named our delivery truck after Fred to honor him for his generosity.
Fred passed away last year. He will be remembered by many CRC staff, clients and supporters, especially those who volunteered for Holiday Baskets.
This amazing story gets better.
