Join  Cantor Andrea Rae Markowicz  and new  Associate Cantor Julie Staple  for an afternoon filled with music and commentary on Jewish characters and themes portrayed on the Broadway stage with special guests  Cantors Jonathan Comisar, Rebecca Garfein, Dan Singer, Jay O'Brien and Susan Lewis Friedman , accompanied by  The Don Cagen Ensemble .

Light reception following the concert to meet and greet our new associate cantor. All are welcome for this free event, but reservations are required by July 27 at 3:00pm.

Immigrant Justice Training
Join us for a training on Deportation Defense offered by The Resurrection Project. The training will help participants get proximate with immigrant justice by gaining a deeper understanding of some of the challenges faced by those without documentation in general, and the processes around arrest, detention and deportation in particular.

In addition, the session will address how we can be effective allies and stand with undocumented workers and families in this challenging environment, and specifically how we can ACT NOW in RAC-IL's Campaign for SB 35 - the Safe Zones Act - and other key legislation included in the Campaign for a Welcoming IL!

Join your friends from Am Shalom at Ravinia for a special Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert and screening of  Raiders of the Lost Ark ! Doors open at 5:00pm. We'll be on the lawn (more specific instructions on how to find us to come soon!). BYO dinner; we'll provide the chairs and dessert.
