Your donations throughout the year and during this last race to the finish line enable us to provide the programs and materials that make Wilton Library so integral to our community. Thank you for making this possible.
  • Summer Hours have begun. Wilton Library is closed on Sundays through September 2. We resume our regular 1-5pm Sunday hours on September 9.
  • Sign up now for our online summer reading programs; click the links for Children and Teens. Visit the Children's Library to sign up for the Pre-K program, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.

New Yorker Shorts - 6 Weeks of Short Stories from The New Yorker
Wednesdays, July 11 through August 15 @12pm
Back by popular demand! Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar will discuss 6 short stories published in The New Yorker magazine over 6 consecutive weeks. Each Wednesday's meeting will feature discussion about the previous week's story. Story titles will be announced 1 week prior to the meeting. Summer Poetry with Judson Scruton: Everyday Miracles and the Living Past - Poetry of Seamus Heaney

Judson Scruton leads this 4-part Summer Poetry Seminar Series exploring a selection of poems by Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney. Irish poet Seamus Heaney (1939-2013) won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1995. The Nobel Committee commended his poetry as 'works of lyrical beauty and ethical depth, which exalt everyday miracles and the living past.' Poetry packets available at front desk one week before the seminar begins.  More info & register
74th Annual Wilton Artists' Summer Show Exhibition/Reception
Friday, July 13 @6pm
Reception to celebrate more than 50 Wilton artists displaying diverse styles, media, and subjects in this two-month long annual Summer Show. A majority of the works will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the library. Reception open to the public. Exhibition runs through Tuesday, Aug. 28. Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Group
Tuesday, July 10 @6pm
Post-treatment breast cancer survivors are invited to join in this monthly support group led by Nina Marino, LCSW. Nina was the Clinical Director of the former Breast Cancer Survival Center and is a breast cancer survivor.  More info & register

Caregiver Support Group
Mondays, July 9 through August 27 @6pm
Caring for a loved one who is ill is stressful and exhausting. It can be a profoundly isolating experience. Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County and Wilton Library invite you to attend an eight-week caregiver group where you will find support, empathy and understanding with others in similar circumstances. Loss of a Spouse Support Group 
Wednesdays, July 11 through August 29 @1pm
Grief is invisible and often misunderstood. It can be a lonely experience. Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County and Wilton Library invite you to attend this bereavement support group for those who are grieving the loss of a spouse.
